We just love eating at the Top of the Hill! The atmosphere is low key, family fun. We just love to play "I Spy" finding treasures on display. This is our third year coming to Southwest Harbor, Harbor Ridge. Everything that we have had there is delicious, with superb tastes. We especially loved the spinach/artichoke dip and Jim really enjoyed that mushroom/crab soup he had this week. We were very happy to be part of your Wednesday Family night. What you are doing to help the school system is wonderful. Keep up the great work. We know it is hard work, but you make it look effortless. See you next July!

We have been here one month and have eaten at several restaurants on the island. We've found that most have cut down on their portions and taste. The best bang for your buck is DeMuros'top of the Hill Restaurant. The food, whatever you order, is consistently good. The atmosphere is homey. Whatever Debbie features and tells you about will make you salivate. This is a family operation that caters to families, as well as couples out for a nice evening. No matter who you are, once you've been there you will return and be remembered. the prices have not changed making it one of the most reasonable dining experiences on the island. We drive twenty five miles from the mainland to dine at Top of the hill and have never had a bad experience; the waitstaff is courteous and very attentive. It doesn't get much better than this.

We eat at the DeMuros for several years now and always look forward to go there first when we arrive for our summer vacation. We think to know the menue , but there is always something new and exciting. The family style atmosphere is pleasant and the young staff is very attentive to please the customer.Shell fish,fish or steak, there are ample choices for all.Wine and beer is served aswell.So, what makes you waiting ? You will not find a better restaurant on MDI. If you want a stuffy, overpriced, faux-French dinner, go to Bar Harbor. If you want wonderful food, a happy, homey, family-run place, it's Top of The Hill. Debby and Dan work their tails off to make this place very special, and the real proof is how the local folks love to come there. Top of the Hill has great Italian food, plus all the lobstah you can eat. Debby's Key Lime pie is amazing as well. Go often!

Hi Debby, Can't believe another summer has come and gone for us, but we know you are still running around making everyone feel at home. We don't know where you get the energy. When were exiting the island for the final time, what did we see, bur Debby up the ladder on the Southwest side of the restaurant, painting away......no rest for the boss! Obviously we love coming in for dinner. The food is always great, everyone is so friendly, and we feel like we are eating at home (but I don't have to do the dishes). I don't eat at any other restaurants, and we've been with you since you opened some 11 years ago....Lee will sometimes take the grandkids to Thurstans (especially the loud ones)...but our very favorite place is "Top of The HillWhat you do for the community is wonderful. Your competition (what competition) should take a page out of your book.....Anyway Lee and I thank you on belhalf of our kids and grandkids who have made noise and then enjoyed great food....Have a great rest of the season and a wonderful winter. What a great, affordable meal in a comfortable, family-friendly atmosphere. We enjoyed lobster and salmon on our August vacation on Wednesday family night (.99 for the kids). You are to be applauded for donating to the MDI schools from your Wednesday night profits. Dining room manager Debby personally attended to our family of five and was delightful and hospitable - a perfect hostess. The Top of the Hill restaurant is well worth the trip from any place on the island. We'll be back!

We recently had the chance to head up to Maine for one of those "end of the season" long weekends. there was NOTHING "end of the season" about the Top of the Hill restaurant!!! The atmosphere was cheerful and fun, full of little collectibles to look at. Debbie the hostess carefully watches over the place to make sure everything is going well. Our waitress Emma, was attentive but not overly so. She really knew the extensive menu and the food was authentically Italian. My Seafood medley was terrific and Cecilia had the traditional Spaghetti and meatballs -- She loved it. Both dishes were served steaming hot. Thanks for adding such a pleasant experience to our short mini-vacation. Mike

Thank you for your very warm & friendly welcome. After a week of eating out, my husband, sister & brother in law all decided this was without a doubt our favorite meal. The service was wonderful, the atmosphere cozy & casual & the food (lobster special) was great!!! Blueberry pie with ice cream that came with the special & the $10 bottle of wine, what a deal. Your place was recommended to us from a local at Acadia National Park, & we definately made the right choice stopping in for dinner. Thanks again for the best meal we had all week!!! We had our first meal at Top of the Hill this past weekend. We had driven past numerous times, on our many visits we make each summer to MDI and Southwest Harbor. The Lobster Palooza, and Lobster Saute, were without a doubt, the best weve had anywhere on the Island! We plan to make a visit to Top of the Hill Restaurant everytime we visit MDI from now on. Great service, excellent food!

My wife and I ate at Top Of The Hill over ten years ago and we still insist that is the best restaurant in the world. Our dream is to revisit one day and never leave it again. It's wonderful. To leave that kind of impression is...well....Impressive. Hope it's still as wonderful. (I'm sure it is)

We love going to the Top of the Hill Restaurant for Dan's Crabcakes and the Baked Stuffed Haddock. They taste wonderfully good! For appetizer's, we enjoy the mussels in white wine sauce. They hit the spot.... There is a laid back atmosphere at the restaurant. You don't leave there feeling hungry as they provide substantial portions at a great value. It's one of our favorite restaurants on MDI.

We just love Demuros' Top of the Hill. The All Inclusive meal specials are a great deal and entice you to try something new. Even though we have our favorites (Ciappino, Chicken Marsala & the Char-broiled Sirloin Steak), we really enjoy trying something new on the extensive menu. And to get a bottle of wine with the complete meal package tops it all off! Keep up the good work Deb & Dan. We can't wait to come back.

Whenever we go to The Top of The Hill we always enjoy our meals and have a wonderful time. It's very affordable, has an excellent variety from Italian Cuisine, to Maine seafood, to vegetarian dishes, to salads, to soups, to veal, to beef, to chicken, great dessert and much, much more. The service is phenomenal, the staff is always friendly and helpful, the atmosphere is always exiting and the perfect Maine experience, (especially when Roberta's singing,) the food is delicious, the location is perfect it's not in town but not too far away, and best of all every time we go to The Top of the Hill to eat we go home full and are taste buds are always happy! 5 stars easy
